What is the Catchment Based Approach (CaBA)?

News

The Catchment Based Approach (CaBA)is an initiative launched by DEFRA in 2013 to bring people together to identify what needs to be done to protect our rivers and then to find ways to deliver these actions.

The Northumberland Rivers Trust is hosting CaBA in the Northumberland Rivers Trust area (most Catchment Hosts across England are the corresponding RiversTrust).

We currently have a Steering Group established to help guide the process and establish early actions.  This includes the Environment Agency, Natural England, Northumberland Wildlife Trust, Northumberland County Council, Northumbrian Water Limited, Northumberland Rivers Trust and the National Farmers Union.
